Signatory to the APC apc_logo_2013-vertical-s

QMDC is one of 900 national organisations to commit to minimising our waste and promoting the recovery of recyclable materials by signing up to the Australian Packaging Covenant (APC).

The APC is a voluntary commitment between government and industry to encourage the sustainable design, use and recovery of packaging.

While QMDC already recycles office paper, cardboard, ink cartridges and other supplies, the covenant gives the organisation an opportunity to review its effectiveness and to create a new policy around buying products with recycled content.

Additionally, it provides the opportunity to raise awareness with stakeholders and partner organisations to encourage them to adopt or improve their own recycling practices.

An action plan has been developed and is now part of our day to day activities.

Find out more about the APC here.
