QMDC is taking donations to help meet the costs of the volunteers working with farmers across the Queensland Murray-Darling Basin. Click here for specifics on making a donation.

  • Volunteers are placed in locations that suit both them and landholders.
  • The Basin Flood Recovery Team arranges for accommodation and catering.
  • Via QMDC, the Basin Flood Recovery Team can also sign for the 2nd working holiday visa.
  • At some basecamps, caravan sites are available.
  • Volunteers work in teams of four and are equipped with safety gear and all necessary tools. Each team has an experienced leader and works for the day beside the property owner.
  • Volunteers are covered by insurance.
  • Tetanus vaccinations available.
